At Rhythm & Rhymes, we believe that children thrive when they are given the freedom to explore, the encouragement to express themselves, and the guidance to grow at their own pace.
Operating since 2009 in the heart of Donelson, TN, Rhythm & Rhymes has cared for hundreds of families across the Nashville area. Our approach blends early learning with movement, music, and creativity. This gives children a strong foundation not only for school, but for life.
We center our care on each child’s strengths and developmental needs. Whether a child is building social-emotional skills, learning to express themselves through art, or just beginning to explore the world around them; these can be found in our program.
Our goal is always the same: to help them feel confident, capable, and deeply cared for.

Rhythm & Rhymes Childcare Philosophy
“Rhythm & Rhymes” is not just a name — it’s a belief.
Children grow best when they can move, sing, speak, listen, and connect with the world in a way that feels natural. Rhythm fuels movement and play. Rhymes support language and listening.
Together, they create a joyful, whole-child approach to learning.
Our curriculum encourages hands-on experiences, creative exploration, and physical engagement. We know that children don’t just learn by listening; they learn by doing.

At Rhythm & Rhymes, we believe every child deserves the strongest possible start.
That is why we go beyond the basics of childcare to give families extra tools and support that help little ones thrive in school and in life.
We proudly partner with the Nashville Public Library’s Bringing Books to Life program to spark a love of reading from the very beginning.
Storytimes, resources, and activities connect children with books in fun, meaningful ways that build early literacy skills.
Clear vision is essential for learning and development and early intervention is ideal to set your child up for success.
Each year, we work with the Tennessee Lions Club KidSight Outreach program to provide free vision screenings for all children ages 12 months and up.
Twice a year, in the Spring and Fall, we invite a professional photographer to capture school portraits so families can treasure these special seasons of growth.
This also helps prepare children for the school picture process they will encounter in as they transition to elementary school.
"Creativity now is as important in education as literacy, and we should treat it with the same status."
-Sir Ken Robinson
